Your photoshoot will begin with a detailed discussion about the sort of images you would like to achieve.  Whether this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience or something you want to repeat as your child grows, your photoshoot will be an enjoyable experience, unique to you and your family.

Planning your photoshoot

I take pictures in all seasons and in most weathers – the only requirement is good, natural light. Your photoshoot will usually begin at home – that way I can get to know you and your family and everyone can get used to the camera and my way of working.  We’ll then move to a place that’s special to you – sometimes it’s the garden but it could also be a peaceful picnic spot or a part of a favourite walk in the Cheshire countryside. Ideally, it’s somewhere that evokes cherished memories of special time spent together as a family.

What happens on the day

Before your photoshoot begins I need to find the most flattering, beautiful light and interesting backgrounds and then work with you and your family to get a selection of wonderful images that encapsulates who you are as a family and as individuals at this time in your lives. Each session is a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone involved, not least because the natural, everyday family interaction makes for the best images.

Choosing your favourite images

Around two weeks after your photoshoot, you’ll get to see around 60 beautifully edited images (30 for a newborn session), during a personalised ordering and design appointment at my studio in Cheshire.  Once you’ve chosen your favourite images you can opt for a wide selection of formats – from hand-crafted albums to bespoke wall frames. Each piece is specially designed for you, to suit your home and personal style.
